Talented Engineer
The authorities were leading a priest, a drunkard and an
engineer to the guillotine. They asked the priest if he wanted to face up or
down when he meets his fate.
The priest said that he would like to face up so that he will be looking toward heaven when he dies. So, they raise the blade of the guillotine, release it and it comes speeding down and suddenly stops just inches from his neck.
The authorities take this as divine intervention and release the priest.
Next the drunkard comes to the guillotine. He also decides to die face up hoping that he will be as fortunate as the priest. They raise the blade of the guillotine, release it and it comes speeding down and suddenly stops just inches from his neck.
So, the authorities release the drunkard as well.
Next is the engineer. He also decides to die facing up. They slowly raise the blade of the guillotine when suddenly the engineer shouts, "WAIT!!!… I think the problem is right there where the cable is binding!!!"

emotional freedom techniques (EFT)
Emotional Freedom Techniques - commonly abbreviated to EFT -
is a modern and growing form of personal development and therapy. EFT is one of
a number of recent concepts increasingly used for improving and developing
people. EFT can be effective for various purposes, including personal and
self-development, attitude and behaviour development, resolving personal
problems, reducing stress, and restoring life balance. This free article about
EFT is contributed by Peter Delves, a leading UK Emotional Freedom Techniques
trainer and practitioner, which is gratefully acknowledged. EFT, like many
modern spiritually-based or 'alternative' concepts, generates passionate debate
as to its scientific validity - especially among the scientific community and
conventionally-minded therapists. This article does not seek to judge whether,
how or why EFT works. This information merely seeks to introduce the concept
and to outline its principles, so that you can then seek more information or
try the methodology, and then decide for yourself.
Emotional freedom
techniques - introduction
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is about returning the
mind, body and feelings to a state of balance and harmony so you are not
limited by negative emotions.

THE SECRET BOX
A preacher was told by his doctor
that he had only a few weeks left to live.
He went home feeling very sad,
and when his wife heard the sad news she said to him, "Honey, if there's
anything I can do to make you happy, tell me."
The preacher answered, "You
know, dear, there's that box in the kitchen cabinet with what you always called
"your little secret" in it and you said you never would want me to
open it as long as you lived. Now that I'm about to go home to be with the
Lord, why don't you show me what's in that secret box of yours?"
The preacher's wife got out the
box and opened the lid.
It contained $10,000 and three
eggs.
Think outside the box
This is the true story of George Phillips of Meridian,
Mississippi, who was going to bed when his wife told him that he'd left the
light on in the shed. George opened the door to go turn off the light but saw
there were people in the shed in the process of stealing things.
He immediately phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your
house?" and George said no and explained the situation. Then they
explained that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door
and an officer would be there when available.
George said, "Okay," hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police
again.
"Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people in
my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I've just shot
them all."
Then he hung up. Within five minutes three squad cars, an Armed Response unit,
and an ambulance showed up. Of course, the police caught the burglars
red-handed.
One of the policemen said to George: "I thought you said that you'd shot
them!"
George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"

Mothers of today!
Most “modern mothers” nowadays have neglected their natural duty of breastfeeding. Unknown to them, they not only deny the child’s right to good and pure health but also miss out on natures chance of staying healthy and in some cases, losing weight! Ironically, these so called “modern mothers” skip this exercise because they want to remain young and hip. Others even go a step further and refuse to give their babies a chance to a healthy start citing that they will lose shape or figure since “their breasts will be saggy”. This is indeed sad. I can only sympathize with those children.
Nursing promotes bonding between mother and baby and creates a lifelong connection between the two. Additionally, it makes the baby feel loved, comfortable and safe.
Benefits to the child
- · It is readily available; your baby does not have to wait for you to prepare his/her food while hungry. Why would you keep a hungry baby waiting anyway?

Wake Up
Words and music: Gary Miller
Lead: Brian Wiersma
Sample: MP3
Lyrics:
Chorus:
Well-a, Well-a Wake up from your slumber
Salvation is upon you
Come out from the darkness
Put on the armor of light
Do right in the daytime
Do right in the night
Put off the rags of evil
Put on the robe of white
There's no time for sleeping
And no time for delaying
It's time your eyes are open
It's time to fight the fight
He's coming you're a knowing
His seeds you should be sowing
Get off the couch of easy
Get up and do the right!
Can’t you see the morning coming
Can’t you see the light of day
Soon will be the final coming
Soon will be the judgment day
No waiting, hesitating
Keep watching, keep praying
Repeat Chorus
Can you see the people searching
Can you see they need The Way
Can you see their hearts are breaking
Can you go His Will obey
No waiting, hesitating
Keep watching, keep praying

"And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature." Romans 13:11-14

Electric Shock Information
1) Danger
If
you suspect someone has received an electric shock you must ensure all power
sources are isolated before you can treat the casualty.
High voltage
Overhead
power cables are an example of a power source generating high voltage
electricity. High voltage electricity has the ability to ‘jump’ or ‘arc’ up to
distances of 18 metres or over. If faced with a casualty resulting from high
voltage electricity:
- Do not
approach. Stay at least 25 metres away from the casualty until the power
has been switched off by an official agency i.e. Electricity Board.
Low voltage
If
faced with a casualty who is in the process of receiving an electric shock you
should:
Attempt
to turn the power off at the mains.
Remove
any cables/power tools etc., still in contact with the casualty.
Action to take
Insulate
yourself from the ground with books / newspapers / rubber matting.

Business Writing: Humor in Business Writing - Does It Belong?
Today someone sent me an evaluation of an online business writing course he had taken with me. This was his final comment:
I liked the online format. It was like being in an actual classroom, but without sitting next to the person who had a garlic and onion chilidog for lunch. Oh, sorry, that was me.
I got a huge laugh from this comment, first because the reference to a chilidog surprised me in a class evaluation, especially of a virtual class. Then his naming himself as the chilidog eater gave me another quick treat.
The surprising humor in a normally dry document brightened my morning at my desk. Humor in small, unexpected doses works well on the job.
Humor in business messages fails when it is piled on like a performance.

Using the Calculator
As you would expect, you use the calculator just as you would a real pocket calculator. Just as with a conventional calculator, space is at a premium, so many of the calculator buttons have to double up the functions they provide. The layout of the calculator in its normal state has the functions you would expect to see on a fairly standard scientific calculator, which means that it is probably self explanatory. Notice the shift button in the top left hand corner.

How Is The Respiratory System Affected By Exercise?
When you exercise, your body has an increased need for oxygen. The working muscles need more oxygen to perform. Your heart and cardiovascular system responds by pumping out more oxygenated blood to the working muscles. Your respiratory system must also make adjustments to help meet the demands of the body during exercise.
Pulmonary System
Your respiratory system is comprised of your nose, mouth, lungs and air passages. It can be broken down into the conducting portions and the respiratory portions. The conducting portions are the passage ways into and out of the body. Whereas, the respiratory portion is where the actual exchange of gases occur. The primary function of the respiratory system is to provide a method of gas exchange between the air around you and the human body. Essentially this means to bring oxygen into the body for energy production and to remove carbon dioxide from the blood.

Yogurt Benefits, Health & Nutrition Facts, & More
What's tasty, easy, and has lots of health benefits? Yogurt!
WebMD Weight Loss Clinic-Feature

Have you noticed that the yogurt section of most grocery stores has practically taken over the dairy aisle? It’s getting harder to find more traditional dairy foods, such as cottage cheese and sour cream, amid the sea of yogurt options. But it only makes sense that a food with as many health benefits as yogurt be given prime real estate in the supermarket.
And just what are the health benefits of yogurt?
First off, your body needs to have a healthy amount of ''good'' bacteria in the digestive tract, and many yogurts are made using active, good bacteria. One of the words you’ll be hearing more of in relation to yogurt is ''probiotics.'' Probiotic, which literally means ''for life,'' refers to living organisms that can result in a health benefit when eaten in adequate amounts.

Business Planning- Writing an Exit Plan
The final portion of your
business plan outlines your exit strategy. It may seem odd to develop a
strategy this soon to leave your business, but potential investors will want to
know your long-term plans. Your exit plans need to be clear in your own mind
because they will dictate how you operate the company. For example, if you plan
to get listed on the stock market, you’ll want to follow certain accounting
regulations from day one. If you plan to pass the business to your children,
you’ll need to start training them at a certain point.
Here’s a look at some of the
available strategies for entrepreneurs:

EMR systems and The Meaningful use
With more physicians adopting
the Electronic Health Records (EHR), we can only expect the attestation of such
systems to also be on
the rise. It is a shame to note that a great number of hospitals still continue
to use the paper records despite the financial incentive for meeting the
meaningful use requirements. The meaningful use guidelines set aside billions
of dollars to be claimed by Medicare and Medicaid health care givers for
successful EHR transition. Most hospitals are however, stuck with hybrid
records. That is to say, they are using both paper records and electronic
records at the same time. This is due to the expensive paper records scanning
which most hospitals can barely afford. Only about half of the hospitals have
scanned what they need and are within their budgets. Another 23% are within
their budgets but still have loads of records to scan. With this fact, it is
safe to assume hybrid records are here to stay, because complete transition may
take several years.
The two approaches in meeting the meaningful use requirements

Neuroscience Resources for Kids - Body System Interaction
All of the systems within the body interact with one another
to keep an organism healthy. Although each system has specific functions, they
are all interconnected and dependent on one another. The nervous system
controls various organs of the body directly. The brain also receives
information from many organs of the body and adjusts signals to these organs to
maintain proper functioning.

Skeletal System
|
The skeletal system makes up the framework of the
body and allows us to move when our muscles contract. It stores minerals
(e.g. calcium, phosphorous) and releases them into the body when they are
needed. The skeletal system also protects internal organs and produces blood
cells.

The vertebrae protect the spinal cord from
injury.
Sensory receptors in joints between bones send
signals about body position to the brain.
The brain regulates the position of bones by
controlling muscles.
